Man Charged by OCSO with Criminal Solicitation of a Minor

On Monday night around 7:45pm, according to jail records, Oconee County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 41 year-old Kenneth Allen Shepherd, who has a Lacey Lane, Seneca, address in warrants, and charged him with criminal solicitation of a minor and disseminating harmful material to a minor. He remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center pending bond, total amount of which was set at $20,000.
An Investigator from the Criminal Investigations Division received information on February 22nd regarding Shepherd making contact online with someone whom he believed to be a teenager, to whom Shepherd had sent an explicit picture and to whom he tried to solicit for sex.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
