Man charged with Domestic Violence

After an argument with a woman turned violent, 49-year-old Gordon Ira Grant was arrested on domestic violence charges.  According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred late Friday afternoon in Seneca.  Grant allegedly pushed a woman into some storage containers, ripped a gold chain off her neck and threatened her.  The report stated that the woman had bruising on her upper arm as well as marks on her hands and forearms.  Grant was charged with criminal domestic violence, first offense.  He was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on a $2,130 bond.
