Man Charged with Grand Larceny by OCSO

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Townville man yesterday on a Grand Larceny charge related to a stolen vehicle, valued at almost $75,000, which was taken from a Seneca area vehicle dealership.

19 year old Hunter Anderson-Stockton was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 8:43pm after being transported to Oconee County from the Anderson County Detention Center. At this time, Anderson-Stockton remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center on a $25,000 surety bond.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division was dispatched during the evening hours of January 19th to a vehicle dealership on the Highway 123 by-pass in regards to report of a stolen red 2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat. The Sheriff’s Office was later notified that an Anderson County Sheriff’s Office deputy had made a traffic stop on the vehicle on Highway 24. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Anderson-Stockton, was placed under arrest and transported to the Anderson County Detention Center and the vehicle was turned over to an employee of the dealership.

The investigation was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division. Based upon evidence that was gathered during the investigation, investigators obtained the arrest warrant against Anderson-Stockton for Grand Larceny.
