Man Pleads Guilty to Charges from April 2019 Incident

Instead of continuing with a trial, Samuel Scott Gray pleaded guilty Monday to second degree burglary and second degree assault and battery by mob. Gray was sentenced in Walhalla General Sessions Court to ten years in prison and five years probation. The charges stemmed from an April 2019 incident during which Gray, then aged 19, along with a 15 year-old boy and 14 year-old girl, went on a crime spree that involved stolen vehicles, attempted robbery, and the assault of some good Samaritans. The crime spree ended when the trio crashed near Armstrong Road and the 123 Bypass in Seneca.
