March Oconee Business Forum Today

A reminder that the March “Business Forum” of the Oconee Economic Alliance (OEA) is today, March 8, explains OEA Marketing and Communications Manager Daja Dial. “This month’s business forum will feature Ben Turetzky with FOLKS, Friends of Lake Keowee Society. FOLKS is an organization of over 2,000 members whose mission is to preserve, protect and enhance Lake Keowee and its watershed through conservation, science, education and good governance so that the lake remains clean, safe and beautiful for the community, users, visitors, area businesses and future generations. The OEA Business Forum is a monthly opportunity for citizens and business leaders to come together in Oconee County to network, receive timely updates on topics facing the community and discuss ways to work together in making Oconee County a better place. As a part of our #GiveOconee initiative, each month we will feature an Oconee County based nonprofit and solicit your help in meeting their immediate needs. This month we are proud to feature Grace’s Closet. Julie-ann Shannon, Director of Grace’s Closet Oconee County, will join us. We ask that you help us meet their immediate need for deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, new hairbrushes and combs, toothpaste and toothbrushes, as well as underwear and socks of all sizes.” There will be a designated location for your donations at the forum but monetary donations are also accepted. The forum begins at 8am and the public is encouraged to attend this free event at Thrift Development, which is located at 180 Bountyland Road in Seneca. The Business Forum is made possible by the generous support of the OEA membership.
