Metal Detectors to be used at Walhalla vs. Pickens Game

It may take a little longer to get into Razorback Stadium this Friday night for the Walhalla versus Pickens varsity football game. That is because the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will once again be using metal detecting wands on fans entering the stadium. Deputies may also spot check items brought into the stadium. This is not in response to any threat, but rather a sign of the times. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office says this Friday night at Walhalla High School will be similar to last month’s Seneca versus Daniel varsity football game at Seneca high School. The use of metal detectors could cause slight delays getting into the stadium and fans are reminded to leave pocket knives and other prohibited items at home or in their cars before trying to enter the stadium.
