Missing Oconee County Man Reported to OCSO LOCATED SAFE

Michael has been located and he is ok, according to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in locating a missing Oconee County man.

Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division responded to an address on Padgett Street, on the Utica Mill Hill near Seneca, during the evening hours of February 15th in response to a report of a missing person.  The deputies spoke to a group of individuals who stated that 21 year old Michael Lewis Spearman was last seen about two weeks prior.  

The group told deputies that Michael was 6’ tall, weighted 135 pounds and usually wore blue jeans and a blue jacket.  The group said that Michael’s home address was on Spearman Drive near Seneca.

Deputies went to home address; however, Michael was not located there.  Shortly thereafter, deputies spoke with the homeowner, who stated that Michael had been missing since February 13th and was wearing blue jeans, blue tennis shoes, a blue jacket and a gray Avengers t-shirt.  The homeowner said that Michael was known for leaving home for two or three days and then he would return home.  

Michael has been known to frequent the area of the BI-LO grocery store near Seneca and Our Daily Bread in Seneca.  Deputies checked with the local hospitals and any surrounding agencies for possible contact with Michael.  Deputies also checked the shopping centers in Seneca and the Seneca Police Department checked the area around Our Daily Rest, however, Michael has yet to be located at this time.  

Michael has been entered as missing in the National Crimes Information Center database and investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division have been following up on any information received regarding Michael’s possible whereabouts.
