Missing Woman found Safe

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has ended their search for a woman reported missing this week after not being heard from for three and a half weeks, explains Jimmy Watt, Public Information Officer for the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.  “44-year-old Rudi Samya Murphy of 266 Alexander Road in Salem was reported missing by her daughter, who filed a report with deputies around 1pm Monday.  According to deputies, Miss Murphy made contact with her daughter sometime Tuesday to inform her that she was okay and safe.  The daughter then made contact with deputies to inform them of this information around 7pm Tuesday evening.  Miss Murphy also made contact deputies around 7:40pm to let them know that she was fine and not under duress.” The Sheriff’s Office is no longer asking for the public’s help in the search for Miss Murphy.
