More Charges Against Seneca Man From Ongoing Investigation

An ongoing property crimes investigation from October of this year has led investigators to file nine additional charges against a Seneca man.

35 year old Clinton Trey Whitworth, of Wrangler Way, is charged with two counts each of Grand Larceny, Malicious Injury to Personal Property and Petit Larceny, plus, one count each of Breaking into a Motor Vehicle, Malicious Injury to Real Property and Unlawful Entry into Enclosed Places. The investigation started October 7 when a deputy responded to a gated storage facility on High Falls Road.

Based upon evidence gathered during the investigation, Deputies also arrested 32 year old Justin Dwain Harris in connection to the case. Both men were booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on October 14th. Also arrested during the warrants service in October was Whitworth’s wife, 44 year old Lisa Ann Whitworth, on a charge of Hindering Officers.

Clinton Whitworth was given a combined $15,000 surety bond on his three charges. He was released on bond and custody was then transferred to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, who had placed a hold on Whitworth. Whitworth was required to wear a GPS monitoring device as a condition of bond. Harris was given a combined $10,000 surety bond on his two charges and released on bond. He is required to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond. Lisa Whitworth was released from the Detention Center on October 15th on a $3,000.00 personal recognizance bond.

The continuing investigation and evidence collected allowed Investigators to obtain additional arrest warrants, based on probable cause, against Whitworth. At this time, Whitworth remains in custody on a combined $75,444.00 surety bond.
