More Storms expected this Afternoon

More storms are expected this afternoon in the Upstate of South Carolina. These latest storms will be similar to the storms on Sunday and Monday. Isolated areas of damaging wind and hail remain possible, and the same continues into Wednesday. With that in mind, Oconee County Emergency Services Deputy Chief of Emergency Management and Special Operations Scott Krein offers this safety advice. “Storms come in sometimes with little notice and in the afternoons it is that time of year. We just always want everyone to remember that trees sometimes are damaged from the prior storm and that we are still going to see trees down and power outages, but please bare with us as we try to clear the roads, get the power restored and give us a little bit of space and time. Also slow down a little bit for the safety of all the workers out there trying to restore power.” The outlook for Thursday through the weekend is drier, but also hotter with highs reaching the mid 90’s with just an isolated shower or storm each afternoon.
