More Thunder than Rain in Walhalla

Last night’s storm was more thunder than rain, according to Official U.S. Weather Observer Barbara Wilson. “As far as I could tell, even from the computer, I think the storm went to the southern part of the county. Here at the county seat we only had .15, but it looked like there was more storm area in the south. We did have thunder here. Yesterday’s high was 80 and the low was 53. So, that is the first precipitation that we’ve had in May.” Totals and readings may differ where you live, Wilson recorded these figures from her weather station, which is located about one mile from downtown Walhalla.
