Multiple Agencies Investigate Monday Juvenile Death In Pickens County

(Seneca, SC)—-The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, the Pickens County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are investigating the death of a 4 year old who the Coroner’s Office says was found unresponsive yesterday.

According to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile male was found unresponsive inside a residence located on Rusty Lane in Easley.

Deputies were notified just before noon and upon their arrival, law enforcement found paramedics and the fire department conducting CPR on the juvenile.

The Sheriff’s Office says the juvenile was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced deceased.  Deputies did not discover any weapons at the scene.

The Coroner’s Office says an autopsy will be conducted; however, the results of the autopsy will not be available for 12 weeks.

The Coroner’s Office says in their release that foul play is not suspected.
