Multiple Fire Departments Respond To Friday Morning Y Barn Fire

(Seneca, SC)———————-Multiple Fire Departments responded this morning to a fire at the Y Barn near Clemson University. The Barn, part of the Campus Recreation Program and the Snow Family Fitness Center, is located at what is formerly known as Y Beach. The barn sustained quite a bit of damage, according to William Daniel, Fire Chief with Clemson University and the city of Clemson.
It is too early to determine a cause of the fire, according to Chief Daniel. Among the units that responded to the scene was the Seneca Fire Department , Corinth-Shiloh, Oconee County Station 21, Central and Townville. Oconee County Fire Chief Charlie King also responded to the scene as well as Seneca Fire Chief Richie Caudill.
