National Night Out tonight at Nettles Park

Celebrate the 2016 National Night Out tonight, Aug. 2 at Nettles Park in Clemson, explains Sgt. Shunna Kelley with the City of Clemson Police Department. “You can come meet your hometown heroes: police officers, firefighters, military, EMS, athletes, and more. Kids, dress as your favorite hero for a chance to win a prize. Free bike helmets go to the first 250 children at the event, which features free food, entertainment and activities for the entire family to enjoy. At the end of the evening we will have a special giveaway; two autographed footballs, one by the current Clemson Football Team and the other by DeAndre Hopkins, former Clemson Tiger and current Houston Texans wide receiver. So we would like to see everybody out at Nettles Park this evening from 6-8pm.” National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anticrime efforts, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
