New CPS Inspection Station coming to Walhalla Fire Department

The Walhalla Fire Department and Safe Kids Upstate, which is led by the Children’s Hospital of the Greenville Health System Program Coordinator Daby Snipes, announces the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for a Child Passenger Seat (CPS) Inspection Station. It takes place on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Walhalla Fire Department. The drop in is from noon to 1pm with the ribbon cutting scheduled for 1pm and inspections are slated from 2-5pm. Snipes said, “We are so excited to partner with Chief Burton and his department to bring this life saving service to our community. Four out of five children’s car seats are installed incorrectly. The Nationally Certified technicians at the Walhalla Fire Department will provide inspections through appointments every third Wednesday of the month from 2-5pm.” Parents and caregivers can make an appointment by going to https://safekidsupstate.org/carseat/
