New CVB Newsletter released

The Mountain Lakes Convention and Visitors Bureau released the March 2013 newsletter this week.  This month’s edition features stories highlighting spring in the Golden Corner, explains Mountain Lakes Convention and Visitors Bureau president and CEO Ken Sloan.  “Primarily my focus is on what is going on in Oconee County right now, so, each month what will draw tourists and what is exciting about Oconee County.  Each month has something new, this month is the Oconee Bell, which only blooms once a year and only grows here, so that is a very exciting thing.” Those scheduling upcoming events in Oconee County and the surrounding area are encouraged to contact Sloan. “I would encourage anybody that has events going on to contact me via email at [email protected], share your events with me or share a link and we will get that in the newsletter as well, but by in large we just want our readership to know what is going on here.  By the way we have over 10,000 subscribers to this newsletter right now.” Sloan tells how you can receive the monthly CVB newsletter.  “They can send me an email at [email protected] and I will add them to our list.”  This month’s newsletter also features stories on waterfalls, ziplining, canopy tours and upcoming events in Oconee County this spring.
