New Deputy Regional Director for Fish and Wildlife Service

Mike Oetker, a fisheries biologist with extensive experience in interstate water issues, will be the new Deputy Regional Director for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Southeast Regional Office in Atlanta. Oetker, a 13-year Service veteran, has been the Assistant Regional Director for the Fisheries Program in the Service’s Southwest Region since 2008. The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.
