New Method of Disinfection Applied to Oconee County Buildings

A new fogging mist spray is being used to decontaminate Oconee County facilities and help further protection against COVID-19.

The County Administration Building in Walhalla is being treated each night after all employees have left and the county’s volunteer fire stations get sprayed twice a week.

The economical mix only takes two ounces of the germicide per gallon of water and has a longer shelf life than other agents like bleach, officials said.
