New Principal for Seneca High School

At its regularly scheduled board meeting held last evening, the School District of Oconee County Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Dylan Hudson as principal of Seneca High School. Mr. Hudson is coming to Seneca High School from Dorchester School District Two where he currently serves as an assistant principal at Summerville High School.

Mr. Hudson holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of South Carolina, a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Charleston Southern University, an Education Specialist degree from The Citadel, and is currently pursuing a Ed.D. in Education Systems Improvement Science from Clemson University. He taught middle school for four years before moving to administration. 

Hudson will be moving to the area with his wife Jordan; they are expecting their first child in June.  

Mr Hudson said, “I am honored and humbled to be named the principal of Seneca High School. I am eager to connect with students, staff, and the entire Seneca community as I embark on this journey to becoming the best servant leader for Bobcat Nation. Go Bobcats! 

Superintendent, Dr. Michael Thorsland said, “We are thrilled to have Mr. Dylan Hudson join the School District of Oconee County to lead Seneca High School. He has outstanding experience as an English teacher and assistant principal. His references are impeccable and we certainly feel that he is ready for this challenge.”

Dr. Sandra Sloan said, “As the school board representative for District 3, I am elated to welcome Mr. Dylan Hudson into the principalship at Seneca High School.  We look forward to the leadership that he will bring to Seneca High and the community.”
