NOVEMBER 2021 PIPED SEWER ON I-85?

Design and engineering are underway on a new phase of Oconee County Sewer South—the one to bring piped sewer to I-85 in the hopes for economic development on Oconee’s four-mile stretch of the federal highway. The Joint Regional Sewer Authority is working with the Davis Floyd company, and the JRSA’s Chris Eleazer projects the possibility to extend sewer from the Golden Corner Commerce Park property thru Fair Play to the interstate to be completed by November 2021. But he cautioned his audience last night to take the November 2021 date with “a grain of salt.” The project has been in the talk and design stage for many years.
