OC Chamber names Interim Executive Director

The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce has named Billy Boylston as its interim executive director. A native of Oconee County, Billy has an extensive background of working with community groups and organizing events. Boylston worked in Washington D.C. on Capitol Hill for Congressman Ted Poe (TX-02) and more recently as Regional Director for Congressman Jeff Duncan. After serving as the Deputy Director of External Affairs for the Republican National Convention and working for the Romney and Ryan National Campaign, Boylston is looking forward to working for the Oconee County Chamber while he assesses his future plans. “I’m a lifelong resident of Oconee County, graduated from Clemson and believe strongly in a positive future for Oconee County as we work to promote and support business and industry. Working for the Oconee Chamber is a great opportunity and I’m looking forward to the new challenges.” Boylston said. As interim executive director, Boylston will focus on growing the Chamber of Commerce by recruiting new members and support upcoming Chamber events like the State of Oconee Luncheon on February 22 and the Oconee Living Expo on March 23.
