OC Council to interview Five Candidates for Administrator

Oconee County has narrowed down the field of applicants to be the next county administrator. Following an executive session Tuesday night, the Oconee County Council heard a recommendation from County Attorney David Root regarding the search process. “Regarding the hiring of a county administrator, I need a motion to direct the county attorney and staff to invite candidates numbered 1, 3, 5, 8 and 9 for in person interviews.” The council unanimously passed the motion. The identity of those seeking the job is being kept confidential.
