OC Friends of the Library Book Sale Today

Take advantage of a great sale today at the Friends of the Oconee County Public Library Book Sale, says Oconee County Public Library Director Blair Hinson. “I would encourage anybody who has time today to go by, go by on your lunch break, go by and get a chance to check what they have, the prices are great and it benefits the library. They have some other thing that they do like the Read to Me Program where the Friends give a bag, a bib and a library card application to all children born over here at Oconee Memorial Hospital. But it’s really neat to just go by there to poke around. It benefits the library and the Friends do a wonderful job with it, so if you have time today get on by there to check it out.” Hinson is grateful to the Friends of the Library for everything they do. “The Friends do an excellent job for. They spend an enormous amount of time sorting, pricing and doing all the things that they do to get ready for the Book Sale. They really do an excellent on the Book Sale, they have a great selection. They have hard backs, paper backs, fiction, and nonfiction. It’s actually really fun to just poke through what they have.” The Friends of the Oconee County Public Library Book Sale runs from 9am until 5pm today in the basement of the Walhalla Library, which is located at 501 West South Broad Street.
