OC Man pleads guilty to Child Porn Charges

United States Attorney Bill Nettles announces that 42-year-old Hollis Frenchman Gray, Jr., of Seneca has pled guilty in federal court in Greenville, to possession of child pornography.  Senior United States District Judge Henry M. Herlong, Jr. accepted the plea and will impose sentence after he has reviewed the pre-sentence report, which will be prepared by the U.S. Probation Office. Evidence presented at the change of plea hearing established that on June 5, 2012, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Gray’s residence in Oconee County.  Computers and other storage media were seized.  A forensic examination of Gray’s computers and other device revealed images of children, under the age of 18, engaged in sexual conduct or the lascivious display of the genitals.  Nettles stated the maximum penalty Gray can receive is a fine of $250,000 and/or imprisonment for 10 years, plus a special assessment of $100. This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
