OC received 2.23″ Inches of Rain Yesterday

Sister station WGOG reports that yesterday’s turbulent weather dropped nearly two and one-quarter inches of rain at Walhalla’s Official U.S. Weather Station. According to Weather Observer Barbara Wilson, if you add yesterday’s 2.23″ to what has fallen previously in January the totals for the first month of 2013 exceed 10″.  Public Safety outlets report no major problems yesterday in Oconee County.  However, a contractor and the DOT were sent to SC 11 across from the property graded for the new Walhalla High School after the deluge sent mud across the highway.
