OC Schools Superintendent gets Contract Extension

The top man for public schools in Oconee County has received a 2% raise and a one-year contract extension.  Monday night, the Board of Trustees for the School District of Oconee County unanimously approved the raise and extension for Superintendent Dr. Mike Lucas.  The action comes on the heels of his annual evaluation.   In a statement the Board said, “Dr. Lucas met or exceeded expectations in seven categories; relationship with the school board, achievement of the district’s strategic plan, student achievement, community relations, staff relations, finance and ethical leadership.  Dr. Lucas was named superintendent for the School District of Oconee County in 2007.
