OC Sheriff seeking Help on Recent Drive By Shooting

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to identify the shooter in a recent drive-by shooting near Seneca.  Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details, “According to investigators, shots were fired into a dwelling on Thatcher Road just after 7:30pm on April 21.  An individual at that residence told deputies that a bullet grazed his ear and deputies noticed blood and an injury that was consistent with the grazing from a gunshot.  The subject was transported to Oconee Medical Center in good condition.  The suspect’s vehicle was located across the road from Hopewell Church Road near Seneca and was towed to the evidence impound of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.  The vehicle that investigators believe the shooter was in when the shooting took place is a four-door Nissan Altima.  If you have any information on the identity of the shooter in this case, please call CrimeStoppers at 638-STOP or text in your tip to 274637.” You don’t have to give your name and if your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
