OC Sheriff’s Office announces Project Lifesaver Spots

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announces that spots are still available for families to register their loved ones who are adults and have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s with the Project Lifesaver Program, which is a tracking program for those who have a tendency to run away. According to Rhonda Morgan, a Victim’s Advocate with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, five units are available at this time. To set up an appointment and discuss eligibility, call 864-718-1049. To be considered for eligibility, you must provide proof of residency in Oconee County as well as a medical statement from a doctor providing care to your family member concerning their diagnosis.
