OC Sheriff’s Office arrests AC Man on Outstanding Warrants

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Anderson County man Thursday on two outstanding arrest warrants stemming from a 2013 investigation. After being transported from the Livesay Correctional Institution in Spartanburg to Oconee County, 31-year-old Kenneth Franklin Tollison of Hill Street in Anderson was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center by a deputy from the Warrants Division. Tollison had outstanding arrest warrants on charges of grand larceny and breaking into a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a business on Blue Ridge Boulevard in Seneca the evening of June 1, 2013, in regards to the theft of a 2005 Ford Ranger SXT that was taken from the parking lot of the business. Information on the vehicle was entered into the National Crimes Information Center database. Items were also taken from inside the vehicle, which included electronic items, a musical instrument and the victim’s wallet. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. The investigator was notified on June 10, 2013, that the vehicle was recovered in Anderson County. As the investigation continued and based upon evidence gathered as a result of the investigation, it was determined that Tollison broke in and stole the victim’s vehicle with items inside. The arrest warrants against Tollison were obtained on Sept. 10, 2013. At this time, Tollison remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
