OC Sheriff’s Office arrests Seneca Woman for possession of Stolen Vehicle

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca woman this week on a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle. Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division arrested 28-year-old Amanda Marie Davis of Twin Springs Drive after deputies responded to a call concerning a suspicious person at Sam Brown Road at Tokeena Road near Seneca and confirmed that Davis had an outstanding warrant. Davis was released from the Oconee County Detention Center Tuesday on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond. A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division responded to an address on Farris Sandra Drive in the West Union area on Sept. 25, in regards to reports of a stolen utility trailer. Upon arriving on the scene, the deputy was met by the victims who stated that their 16-foot Homestead Dual Axle Utility trailer had been stolen from the property. The case was turned over the Criminal Investigations Division. As the investigation continued and evidence was gathered, investigators in the case discovered the trailer on Highway 24 in the Tokeena Crossroads area on Sept. 27. Also based upon evidence gathered in the case, investigators determined that Davis had advertised the trailer on the internet for sale and had painted the trailer a different color. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation.
