OC Sheriff’s Office arrests Woman for Accessory After the Fact

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Upstate South Carolina woman over the weekend on outstanding warrants related to a series of crimes that were committed this summer on Dr. John’s Road near Westminster. The Sheriff’s Office is also seeking the whereabouts of a Pelzer man also on charges related to the same investigation. 24-year-old Harlie Montana Beck, who has listed addresses of Nash Street in Fountain Inn and South Spring Street in Westminster, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center Saturday after being located on the Utica Mill Hill and taken into custody. Beck had outstanding arrest warrants charging her with accessory after the fact of a felony and receiving stolen goods. Both charges stem from the Sheriff’s Office investigation into the Dr. John’s Road incidents that led to multiple charges being filed against 27-year-old Joseph Edward Kinsel who was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on Aug. 31. According to arrest warrants, Beck had in her possession at the South Spring Street address items, including tools and an electronic item, that were stolen from a Dr. John’s Road address on Aug. 30. Beck was also charged with providing assistance to Kinsel in regards to obtaining gas at a business on Toccoa Highway back on Aug. 30. The suspect that the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is also seeking is 26-year-old Brandon Scott Hope of Slatton Shoals Road. Hope has outstanding arrest warrants charging him with two counts of grand larceny, six counts of petit larceny, four counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, three counts of burglary in the third degree, two counts of financial transaction card fraud and one count of financial transaction card theft, which are all related to the same investigation. For his part in the investigation, Kinsel has been charged by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of grand larceny, three counts of third degree burglary, six counts of petit larceny, four counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, and one count each of failure to stop for a blue light, financial card fraud and financial transaction card theft. Kinsel remains in custody at this time on a combined $74,500 surety bond. A hold continues to remain on Kinsel by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. Beck was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on Oct. 20, on her own recognizance. She was given a combined $7,500 personal recognizance bond. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
