OC Sheriff’s Office conducts 19th Operation Infinity Drug Sweep

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the nineteenth “Operation Infinity” drug sweep round-up. The Sheriff’s Office began the operation officially on June 4. This latest roundup sought 21 subjects wanted on a variety of drug charges involving distribution methamphetamine, heroin, and prescription drugs while some of the subjects had unlawful neglect of a child charges obtained against them and some had a charge of attempting to purchase Pseudoephedrine above the legal limit. As of June 28, 11 individuals have been arrested or were already in jail and have been served their warrants. Those individuals are Amanda Jane Long of Seneca for two counts of distribution of prescription drugs; Devin Danielle Keill of Westminster for distribution of methamphetamine; William Cleveland Lother of Salem for distribution of crank; Richard Barrett Thompson of Seneca for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen goods; Jesse Jake Varnadore of Walhalla for distribution of crank; Jason Daniel Wilbanks of Westminster for three counts of distribution of crank; Bobby Ray Carroll of Westminster for two counts of distribution of crank; Bowdy Chance Crowe-Key of Walhalla for distribution of methamphetamine and attempting to purchase Pseudoephedrine above the legal limit; Devan Chavis Bennett of Westminster for two counts of distribution of crank, petit larceny and receiving stolen goods; Tiffany Nicole Thrift of Abbeville and Walhalla for unlawful neglect of a child; and Douglas John Olin Edmond of Seneca for distribution of crank. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation and due to that fact, the names of the other individuals being sought will not be released at this time.
