OC Sheriff’s Office locates Missing Teen

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office located a 16-year-old girl who had been missing since the end of February. According to Investigators with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Katherine Lidey was found at a location on Quail Drive, which is located near Mountain View Road and Flat Shoals Road just outside of Salem.  Katherine, who goes by Katey, was reported missing from her foster home in Westminster around 6am on February 27.  Katherine was located around 11:40am Wednesday and was then turned over to DSS custody. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to look into the matter.
