OC Sheriff’s Office makes Drug Arrest

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office made a drug arrest on Friday afternoon of an individual wanted in a drug sweep that began on April 16.  Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details.  “33-year-old Crystal Dawn Meredith of 102 Union Crossing Road in West Union was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4pm on May 3 on charges of distribution of methamphetamines. According to investigators, an operative of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office purchased meth from Crystal Meredith on February 13 at 104 Scenic Drive in Walhalla.  On April 16, Shane William Meredith, also of 102 Union Crossing Road in West Union, was arrested on distribution of marijuana and methamphetamine charges from sales to an operative of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office on February 7 and February 13 respectively at the Scenic Drive address. Crystal Meredith is the 18 individual from the mid-April drug sweep arrested by deputies.” The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation.
