OC Sheriff’s Office makes two Drug Arrests

On September 26th, deputies with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Seneca Police Department executed a search warrant and arrested two individuals on drug charges. The search warrant was executed at 109 Hanvey Drive, which is near Seneca.  Arrested were 45-year-old Joseph Edward Beyer and 52-year-old Tony Lamar Jenkins.  According to agents with the Sheriff’s Office, Beyer and Jenkins were in the front yard of the residence when officers arrived on the scene.  Beyer was arrested on charges of distributing methamphetamine, based on a warrant, which alleges that Beyer sold a quantity of meth to an undercover agent working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office back on July 8th.  Jenkins was also arrested on distribution of methamphetamine charges based on a warrant, which alleges that Jenkins sold a quantity of meth to an undercover agent on September 23rd.  Beyer was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on $10,000 bond while Jenkins is still being held at the Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
