OC Sheriff’s Office seeks help in search for Suspect

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in their search for a man wanted on three separate warrants.  Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details.  “27-year-old Jeffery Allan Couch is wanted on charges of first degree burglary, petit larceny, and resisting arrest.  According to those warrants, Couch is accused of entering a dwelling at 809 Stamp Creek Landing Road in Walhalla “without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein.”  Couch is also accused, according to warrants, of carrying away “miscellaneous property” of a value of less than $2,000 from the same Stamp Creek Landing Road address.  That incident is said to have occurred sometime between November 3rd and November 10th. Couch is also accused of resisting arrest in the late afternoon hours of November 11th as he fled from officers at 124 Brandi Lane in Walhalla and ran into some woods nearby. Couch is a white male, about 6’ tall, around 160 pounds, with a medium build and brown hair and blue eyes.” If you have information on the whereabouts of Jeffery Allan Couch, you are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 864-638-STOP or text in your tip to 274637.  You don’t have to give your name and if your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
