OC Sheriff’s Office seeks help locating Mother and Six Children

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s help in locating a missing mother and her six children. A deputy was notified Wednesday afternoon by the Department of Social Services of a court order that was signed by a judge regarding the mother of the children, 33-year-old Jennafer Machelle Price of Longcreek Highway, turning over custody of the children to DSS. The deputy was notified that after the judge signed the order, DSS went to pick the children up, however, deputies learned that both Jennafer and the children were missing and could not be located. The deputy contacted Sgt. Tim Rice, the Child and Elder Abuse Investigator of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office as the Sheriff’s Office began an investigation, which included having the mother and children’s information listed in the National Crimes Information Center database, notifying surrounding agencies and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and Sgt. Rice obtaining arrest warrants charging Price with six counts of custodial interference. Sgt. Rice believes that Price may be driving a 2001 Toyota Sienna Minivan with a South Carolina Tag of 6682KW. Price has a history of narcotics abuse. The children are 11-year-old Alana Grant, 9-year-old Tristan Price, 6-year-old Nyomi Hardwick, 4-year-old Alijah Hardwick, 2-year-old Rylee Hardwick and Anton Hardwick, who turns one on May 10. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Jennafer Machelle Price and the six children, you are asked to contact the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office at 864-638-4111 or contact your local law enforcement agency immediately and ask them to relay your information to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.
