OCONEE (AND THE STATE) SAYS KEEP ELECTING THEM

Oconee County voters were right on tune last week with the rest of South Carolina with rejecting the ballot question on how to select a state superintendent of education. Results we’ve obtained show about six out of 10 voters in both Oconee and across the state said no to the proposition that South Carolina allow the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make the choice. The popularly elected superintendent, Molly Spearman, will remain in office, having won re-election to a second, 4-year term.
