Oconee County Continues To Recover After Last Friday’s Rains And Flooding

(Seneca, SC)——————-Oconee County continues to recover from some flooding and heavy rains that occurred last Friday. 

Barbara Wilson, the county weather observer, reported around 5.78 inches of rain in her rain gauge last Friday. Oconee County Government reported 15 road closures in the county as of 3pm last Friday afternoon. 

Also, the parking lot of Yousef’s Kitchen in Westminster was flooded for a time last Friday. 

The good news is the National Weather Service is reporting that the Golden Corner will stay dry for the next few days with the next chance of rain coming up Thursday night into Friday.
