Oconee County Coroner’s Office Releases Name Of Individual Whose Remains Discovered In June

(Seneca, SC)———The Oconee County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the individual whose remains were discovered back in June inside the city limits of Seneca.

The Coroner’s Office and the Seneca Police Department received notification on Friday of last week based on a DNA comparison from SLED that was on file.

According to Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis, the female has been identified as 55 year old Teresa Marlene Hatchell Sell, who formerly resided in Easley.

The Coroner’s Office has received information that Ms. Sell resided with her sister who formerly lived in the Seneca area.

Ms. Sell’s death remains under investigation by the Seneca Police Department and the Oconee County Coroner’s Office.
