Oconee County Council Meeting Tuesday

The Oconee County Council has scheduled a public hearing on their new spending plan, which is currently over $60 million, as the top item on their agenda for Tuesday. Before the final vote, council members will listen to public comments on the funding required for the county government for the 2023-24 fiscal year, starting on July 1st.

In addition to this, the council will also consider and approve a Request for Proposals for a Comprehensive Wage and Compensation Study for Oconee County, as well as discuss economic development matters with code names “Project Iron Man”, “Project Ship”, and “Project Parallel”. The county usually assigns code names to economic development projects while they are still being negotiated. Tuesday’s meeting will be held in Council Chambers at the County Administrative Offices in Walhalla and will be open to the public.
