Oconee County Council To Hold Regular Council Meeting Tonight At 6pm

(Seneca, SC)——————Oconee County Council will hold their regular council meeting tonight in Council Chambers at the County Administrative Offices located on Pine Street in Walhalla. 

Among the items on the agenda will be a proclamation recognizing the Keowee Courier and the Westminster News. Also, Council will have the first reading on an ordinance regarding the budget for the School District of Oconee County as well as first and final reading on resolutions regarding mutual aid agreements between Oconee County and Franklin, Habersham, Hart, Rabun and Stephens counties in Georgia as well as Jackson and Transylvania counties in North Carolina. 

Council will also have discussion on the purchase of a 2019 Ford F-450 vehicle for Oconee County Emergency Services at a cost of $75,109 dollars. 

Council will also go into executive session to discuss, among other items, two economic development matters known as Project Aztec and Project Trout.
