Oconee County One Step Closer To Naming Amanda Brock As Permanent County Administrator

(Seneca, SC)————————————Oconee County is one step closer today to having a permanent County Administrator. After returning from executive session last night, County Council voted unanimously for County Council Chairman Julian Davis to begin contract negotiations to promote current Interim County Administrator Amanda Brock to become the new permanent County Administrator. With comments, here is County Council Chairman Davis. 

County Council will hold a Special Called Meeting on Friday, March 8th at 9am in relation to a potential contract. Davis said that no other final readings would be required in regards to a contract but it would be necessary for Council to come back and do a final review on the contract. Davis said that Council wanted to move forward quickly to show their support for Brock as Administrator as well as all Oconee County employees. 

Council also voted after Executive Session to direct the staff to continue negotiation in regards to purchasing property adjacent to the County Rock Quarry which was also an item that was discussed in Executive Session.
