Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Accepting Applications For Sixth Oconee County Citizens Police Academy

(Seneca, SC)—–The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the sixth Oconee County Citizens Police Academy. 

The Academy will be held every Tuesday night from September 10th thru November 12th, which is the date for the sixth graduating class and the classes will run from 6pm until 9pm. 

A SWAT demonstration will be held on Saturday, September 28th with a cook-out to follow.

If you are interested in being considered for the sixth Sheriff’s Office Citizens Police Academy, go to the website for the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office at www.oconeelaw.com and fill out an application. 

Completed applications can be mailed to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Attn. Julie Gibson, at 415 South Pine Street, Walhalla, SC, 29691. 

Backgrounds checks will be conducted on applicants and all applicants under the age of 21 will need parental permission to participate in the SWAT demonstration. 

Applications will be accepted at the Sheriff’s Office through September 3rd.
