Oconee County Sheriff’s Office And Crimestoppers Seeks The Public’s Help Regarding Recent Church Vandalisms

(Seneca, SC)—-The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc. is seeking the public’s help today in an investigation into reports of church vandalism at two churches on Friendship Road near Seneca. 

According to a press release, deputies were dispatched to Hepsibah Baptist Church on Sunday, June 2nd after receiving reports that the church was vandalized with satanic graffiti and emblems. 

On June 11th, the graveyard at Friendship United Methodist Church was observed to have been vandalized, with over 20 headstones being out of the their proper places. 

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with any information on these incidents or if anyone saw any suspicious vehicles or individual(s) in the area of Friendship Road and Coneross Creek Road on or around the aforementioned dates to contact the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office at 864-638-4111 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
