Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Announces Additional Arrest in Drug Round-Up

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has announced an additional arrest in its second drug round-up of 2024, which began on December 5 with 46 warrants issued for 31 individuals following controlled narcotics purchases.

Brett Lamar Underwood of Walhalla was arrested for distributing fentanyl, received a $5,000 bond, and has since been released. As of January 7, 24 suspects have been arrested or are in custody, with two additional individuals apprehended on unrelated charges. The Sheriff’s Office seeks public assistance to locate seven remaining suspects, including charges for distributing methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and Lortab.
