Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Mountain Rest Man On Multiple Charges, Including First Degree Burglary And Safecracking

(Seneca, SC)——————-The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Mountain Rest man last week on multiple charges, including one count each of First Degree Burglary and Safecracking. 

37 year old Gabriel Isaac Baumgarner has also been charged with two counts of Petit Larceny and one count of Second Degree Burglary. 

Baumgarner was charged in two separate investigations. First, Baumgarner is accused of breaking into a residence in Mountain Rest sometime between April 7th and April 21st and stealing a Iver Johnson Champion .16 gauge shotgun. 

In the second incident, Baumgarner is accused of breaking into Stumphouse Church of God near Walhalla sometime between April 20th and April 21st, according to arrest warrants. Baumgarner is accused of stealing a digital wall safe and then breaking into the safe to steal the items located inside.
