Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two Men On Criminal Sexual Conduct With A Minor Charges In Separate Investigations

(Seneca, SC)———————-Late last week, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office made arrests of two Oconee County men on charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – First Degree in two separate investigations. 

The first arrest involved 31 year old Adam Raymundus Burkey of Seneca who is accused of committing a sexual battery of an 11 year old female. 

Burkey remains in custody at the Detention Center as he was denied bond. Burkey will appear before a Circuit Court Judge at a later date in regards to bond. 

The second arrest made by the Sheriff’s Office was of a Walhalla man, 23 year old Tristan Craig Phelps. Phelps is accused of sexually assaulting a minor female under the age of 11 years old.

Phelps is currently being held without bond as well. He will also appear before a Circuit Court Judge at a later time in regards to bond. 

Even though these investigations involved separate cases, both investigations began after School Resource Officers were notified and began investigations that were eventually turned over to the Child/Elder Abuse investigator from the Sheriff’s Office.
