Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two Seneca Men On Drug And Weapons Charges

(Seneca, SC)—————-The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Seneca men late last week on drug and weapons charges.

57 year old Michael Anthony Lewis and 27 year old Justin Dimon Alexander were booked into the Oconee County Detention Center after deputies arrested the two after a traffic stop that occurred on East South 2nd Street and Allen Street in Seneca. During the traffic stop, deputies smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and requested consent to search the vehicle. After consent was denied, a K-9 unit arrived on scene, upon which the K-9 detected the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle and a search of the vehicle began. Alexander also surrendered to the deputy narcotics that were hidden on his person. 

As a result of the investigation, Lewis was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol after a handgun was discovered on his person. 

Alexander was also charged with an Unlawful Carrying charge after a pistol was discovered on his person as well. Alexander was also charged with one count of Possession With Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine. Alexander was also issued a citation for Simple Possession of Marijuana.
