Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Charges Seneca Man With Obstructing Justice And Accessory After The Fact Charges

(Seneca, SC)————————-A Seneca man has been charged by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office with Accessory After The Fact of a Felony and Obstructing Justice for his role in assisting two men charged recently with Murder in the shooting death of a Walhalla woman at a residence on Maple Avenue in Seneca.

According to arrest warrants, 45 year old Steven Allen Broach is accused of knowingly disposing of the murder weapon for Decota Brown and Hunter Hunnicut by carrying the firearm to a bridge crossing Coneross Creek on Sitton Mill Road and throwing the weapon into the water. One of the warrants indicates that Broach knew that Brown and Hunnicut had committed the crime of murder as Brown and Hunnicut are accused by the Seneca Police Department of killing 73 year old Geraldine M. Castle back on March 7th.

Brown and Hunnicutt remain in custody at this time at the Oconee County Detention Center on initial charges of Murder, First Degree Burglary and Possession of a Weapon During Commission of a Violent Crime. Those charges were obtained by the Seneca Police Department.
